Frequently overlooked, leaks in the oil rail ball tubes and seals can cause hard starts or even no starts. Replacing all ball tubes if one is leaking, is a wise preventative measure.
Even if no leaks are found during air testing, it's essential to inspect the nipple portion of the ball tube where it connects to the fuel injector. High-pressure oil systems can exceed 3,000 PSI, and minor surface imperfections can lead to significant problems over time. The O-ring seals can harden and deform, allowing high-pressure oil to blow by the base of the ball tube that connects to the injector. This can erode the injector seal until it eventually fails.
Our kit includes all 8 ball tubes constructed of durable stainless steel and O-rings made from high-temperature Viton material to ensure long-lasting performance and prevent repeated failures. Additionally, the kit includes a special tool for removing and replacing the hex compression ring and for aligning and centering the ball tube to the rail during reassembly.
